Melissa Kate

is an international "sultry cabaret jazz & blues" vocalist, songwrtier, stage and voice actress and educator. When she isn't on stage with an 18 piece big band performing for thousands of people, or featured with the international award-winning Taylor Made Jazz in front of tens of thousands of people, she is working the crowd with her own band — The Melissa Kate Project. A sultry and soulful singer, Melissa's engaging charm can make the largest crowd feel as though they've been invited to an intimate evening of jazz, R&B, blues and originals. What does Melissa sound like? Take a mix of Etta James, Sheena Easton, Norah Jones and Diana Krall, stir in the magic of theater and a passion for the audience, and you have Melissa Kate. Her performances are as accessible to U.S. Embassy leaders as they are to high school students at Crenshaw High.
